OBNA Board Meeting Minutes 02/11/2020

Mintues 2.11.20

Board Introductions: Board members present: Ward, Jodell, Mark, Kathy, Nunzie, Chris, Travis. Guests: Sue Fountain (Deschutes Historical Museum), Anne Goldner (Deschutes Historical Museum), Chris Piper (Bend City Council), Henry Stroud (Bend Parks & Rec).

Land Use Applications- Drake Park: Henry gave a presentation on what will be taking place in Drake Park. The goals are Habitat restoration, trail connections, and accessibility. Mark asked about Riverfront street and the past plans for that- BPRD is retaining money in their budget for 2022/2023 for funding reconstruction of that road. OBNA needs to get Parks & Rec on the agenda for talking about neighborhood projects.

Go Bond: Chris Piper gave an update, the bond is moving forward for $190M on the May ballot. There are several projects involved. There was talk about the parkway access as well as Colorado Ave., which the City of Bend took over years ago.

Neighborhood yard sale: Drake Park Historic district is moving yard sale to June.

Bend BCD: Several conversations around the Bend Central District plan- including what will happen if City Hall moves there. Moey N. is very involved, maybe we should have her come to present?

NLA: They are looking at re-designing the boundaries with the neighborhood associations.

Next meeting will be from 7:15-8:30 March 10, at the Historical Museum Library
